Julie Costanzo is a producer of film, television, documentaries, commercials and digital content.
Julie began producing commercials in 1992, and in 1996, produced the Showtime film, Farmer & Chase, written and directed by Michael Seitzman, starring Lara Flynn Boyle and Todd Field.
Julie joined American Zoetrope as Producer of Special Projects in 1997, producing projects written and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Projects included David Copperfield’s Broadway debut Dreams & Nightmares, and a live performance of Abel Gance’s historic Napoleon.
In 1998, Julie became Vice President of Development and Production for Zoetrope, and in 2001, produced The Virgin Suicides, written and directed by Sofia Coppola.
Returning to independent producing in 2004, Julie spent a year abroad producing the PBS documentary series Adventure Divas.
In 2006, Julie returned to her commercial roots, producing television campaigns for Tyco, Symantec, and Microsoft, in addition to producing short film series for Hitachi and PUMA International. Most recently, Julie produced performer, philanthropist and technology wizard Wil.i.am’s international Ultrabook Tour for Intel, as well as, digital and interactive projects for HTC Global and Razorfish.
In addition to her current commercial and digital pursuits, Julie produced the Lines Ballet Arthaus Musik series, originated out of Berlin and distributed throughout Europe. Julie is Co Producer of the Jennifer Siebel Newsom film Miss Representation, which was honored at the Sundance Film Festival, and is currently being distributed by OWN.
